After working three years in Beijing, China and several months in Xian, China, Anna moved to Hong Kong in 1993. She was hired as the Public Relations and Advertising Manager for the Hutchison Telephone Company Limited, now known as Hutchison Telecom or “3”. At that time, Hutchison Telephone was the first cellular phone company in Hong Kong with 120,000 cellular customers. With a small public relations team, she worked with the marketing department on PR sponsorship programmes, and created the company's marketing materials such as a corporate video, corporate brochure and the quarterly customer newsletter - HutchTel News.
Some of the memorable sponsorship events she managed for the company included the Salem Open, Hutchison Telephone Challenge (Women's Grand Prix Volleyball Finals), Red Cross Blood Donation Drive, and the Friends of the Earth Olympics.
She worked with an engineering team which helped Hutchison Telephone to sign the first roaming agreement with Bell Mobility of Canada enabling Hutchison cellular subscribers to use their mobile phones in North America.
